After an exhausting week of commuting through the snow in Glasgow we treated ourselves to Saturday brunch at Pot Luck, a gloriously yellow south side establishment specialising in breakfast, brunch and lunch. It's tiny on the inside and you can't book a table, but we timed it well and a couple were conveniently leaving just as we arrived.
The menu is varied and the sweet and savoury plates change frequently, winning Pot Luck the "Best Cafe" and "Best Newcomer" awards at The Skinny Food & Drink Survey 2018.
Keith had this amazing looking Pork Chilli with hash browns and avocado - I stole some and can confirm it was tasty!
I had Lemon Hotcakes which were incredible! They come with home made lemon curd, swiss meringue, ginger crunch, honey, blueberries and mascapone and they're very filling: I couldn't finish them. The portions are large and reasonably priced, we had 4 hot drinks with our meals and it came to about £25 in total. In the unlikely event that you still feel peckish on the way out they have a small selection of cakes available.
You can find Pot Luck at 38 Nithsdale Road, Glasgow and on Facebook and Instagram. I'll definitely be back soon!
